45th FV Anniversary
Hello to all you FSV’ers.
You might or, might not know this, but 2008 marks the 45th anniversary of the Formula Vee. We, as (evolutionary)cousins to the FV has been graciously invited to join their celebration. In April of 2008 a stand alone FV Anniversary event will be held at Roebling Road.
What we need to do to make this happen, is give them a car count (minimum of 20 cars). I do not think that this will be to difficult, but I need to know who is interested.
As I said, this will be a stand alone event, no track sharing with F1 cars, F3 cars, Formula Atlantic's, Formula Fords, just Formula Super Vee's. If the response is great enough, we might even be able to run two separate event for Air-cooled and Water-cooled cars.
...so EVERYONE.... this event is for you, ALL FSV's, air cooled, water-cooled, PRO FSV's, Formula Atlantic spec, SOLO I, SOLO II, Hill climb, if it is an FSV's or, was an FSV, please contact me to let me know that you want to participate.
This is just in the planning stages, all I need right now is a verbal commitment (one year away is a long time...). There is also talk of "other" types of events, such as a car show. If anyone has any ideas or thought on other types of events, please send them to me.
I look forward to hearing from you. We have all been waiting for an event where we didn't have to share, now here it is. Please send an email to me to let me know if you think you would like to attend. You "Left coasters" should look to hookup with our FV brethren and make a road trip out of it.
